Chemspec, in Germany, is a global exhibition for Specialty Chemicals that brings together manufacturers from around the world. Aditya Birla Chemicals, a business of the USD 43 Billion Aditya Birla Group, engaged with Fountainhead Digital MKTG to maximise the marketing possibilities of their stall space at this exhibition. Due to the presence of so many exhibitors and the standardisation of space, standing out from the clutter was difficult. Fountainhead Digital MKTG digitised the content of their exhibition marketing (earlier delivered through brochures and standees) and built an immersive Virtual Reality experience for customers. The experience transported them into the world of Aditya Birla Chemicals and narrated the brand and product story in a manner that made Aditya Birla Chemicals stand out as an exhibitor. The VR experience was immersive and also cost effective. Developed in Samsung Gear VR, the experience was shown to multiple visitors at a time with the story moving at their pace, while also leading to the creation of content which can be showcased at several marketing and sales forums, even beyond the exhibition.
