Fountainhead Digital MKTG worked for an exploration of an initiative which gave users an in-game experience of an Action Role Playing Game based on a popular franchise. Using the highly immersive and motion-tracking capabilities of the HTC Vive, a simulation was created in which users had to walk on a plank protruding out of the edge of a building and diffuse a bomb within a defined period of time. A real physical plank was tracked into Unity and the experience of walking was hyper-realistic due to the elevation of the physical plank and the virtual environment of the gameplay. The diffuser was based on gestures built into the HTC Vive experience. An additional dimension of logic-controlled wind-fans were added to enhance the experience of strong winds hitting the user as she/he walked precariously at a height of more than a 100 floors.
